Car insurance F-150 - Which one is recommended?

Which car insurance for pickup trucks can you recommend? I´m driving a F-150 ford pick up. the insurer I was going for did not accept my years of driving experience. Which insurers in germany would accept me?

For which country? Here the majority of the forum members can probably only make recommendations for Germany. Is it a company car or for private use? Is it a classic car?

Second. normally people introduce themself shortly, before firing off questions
Third, insurances are so individual, based on package selected, mileage, where you park, age of you and the car, and many more parameters - how shall we be able to give you the adequate answer.
You may try any of these comparison sites, like Check24 to do a proper selection. However, they won't propably have a F-150 listed.

that's a great car. Where did you get it a F150? I haven't seen too many pick ups in germany yet in general .
back in the states I used sites like compare.com. They probably got similar websites here. heard a lot about check24.de. I actually just googled "car insurance germany". this website is in english, it tells you what to look out for. there are many websites that explain how to insuring works in germany. most stuff is in german but I use google translate to make sense of it

I can only recommend HUK-Coburg.

Its always better to just go to an office of the insurance company and explain your issue there, people often tend to be more helpful in person than on the phone or via mail.

An F150 would be registered as a "N1G BE" here in Germany, which means you have to get a truck (not car) insurance for it but therefor you get taxed based on payload, which is about a third of what you'd pay based on engine displacement and emissions.
Almost every Ford Ranger in this forum (and mine too) has this registration.

Truck insurance depends on your driving experience, wether youre going to transport dangerous goods, your mileage etc. The make and model of the truck don't matter, only the maximum weight and kilowatts.

Asking your American (?) insurance for a certificate of you having your amount of years of driving experience might be very helpful in getting them here in Germany too.
